Ryan Baillie and the Power of Purposeful Partnerships

At the SponsorshipX Changemakers Summit this November, fundraising leader Ryan Baillie, Associate Vice President of Cycling Programs at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, will take the stage to share how partnerships can move beyond transactions and transform lives.

Ryan oversees two of Canada’s most significant fundraising cycling events, The Ride to Conquer Cancer and Northern Pass. He mobilizes thousands of riders and raises more than $22 million annually to support world-leading cancer research. His work is a testament to how sport, community, and purpose can fuel lasting impact.

During the Summit’s Impact Track | Exploring the Intersection of Rational and Emotional Partnership, Ryan will be joined by James Carver, Marketing Director, Cell Therapy, Multiple Myeloma, Johnson & Johnson. Together, they will unpack the unique collaboration between Johnson & Johnson and The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. This alliance helped the 2025 Ride to Conquer Cancer draw nearly 5,000 riders and raise an astonishing $20.61 million.

On the rational side, Ryan and James will explore how their teams built internal momentum, approached collaboration strategically, and aligned values to advance outcomes. On the emotional side, they will reveal how personal stories, community connections, and shared purpose have created a sense of belonging and motivation, demonstrating how every rider’s effort contributes to shaping a brighter future.

Guided by Ryan’s philosophy of “failing forward” and continuous improvement, this conversation promises to spotlight the mechanics of a successful partnership and the heart that makes it meaningful. With two in five Canadians expected to face a cancer diagnosis, this cause resonates deeply, reminding us that when partnerships are built on both strategy and humanity, they have the power to change the world.

We are proud to welcome Ryan Baillie to the SponsorshipX Changemakers Summit.
