Canada Life Steps Up as Sponsor of NAVIGATE 2025 – An Invitation for Companies to Join

NAVIGATE 2025: Unlock the Full Potential of Your ERGs

On October 2, 2025, the Black Talent Initiative (BTI) will host NAVIGATE, a brand-new Corporate Leaders Summit in Toronto designed to empower Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and the leaders who guide them. This inaugural event receives a major boost from Canada Life, whose sponsorship underscores their commitment to building inclusive workplaces and advancing Black professionals across the country.

For too long, ERGs have been under-resourced. More than half of ERG leaders manage with budgets under $5,000, minimal authority, and limited organizational support. NAVIGATE exists to change that. By bringing together executive sponsors, HR professionals, ERG leaders, and allies, NAVIGATE provides frameworks, strategies, and real-world conversations that help organizations unlock the true potential of ERG boosting engagement, retention, and performance.

Canada Life’s partnership with BTI has already delivered impact through events like IGNITE, where they have sponsored attendance for Black professionals and served as a presenting sponsor in Winnipeg. Their support of NAVIGATE includes contributing a keynote speaker, amplifying the event through media channels, and helping shape programming that resonates with both employers and employees.

This collaboration reflects Canada Life’s broader commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces where Black talent thrives and organizations are equipped to create measurable change. By standing behind NAVIGATE, Canada Life is helping to ensure ERGs are not just present within organizations, but are resourced, empowered, and impactful.

The inaugural NAVIGATE Summit will feature leaders and speakers from organizations such as RBC, Scotiabank, Canada Life, OLG, Raymond James, and GreenShield Canada. Together, these executives, ERG leaders, HR professionals, and allies will share strategies, frameworks, and stories that highlight how to scale ERGs, embed inclusion into business strategy, and elevate diverse leadership.

NAVIGATE is an opportunity to strengthen inclusion strategies across corporate Canada. Companies that step forward as partners will:

  • Position themselves as leaders in building diverse and inclusive workplaces.

  • Gain visibility among executives, HR leaders, and decision-makers from Canada’s leading organizations.

  • Contribute to meaningful change by equipping ERGs with the resources and authority they need to succeed.

The Black Talent Initiative (BTI) is a social impact organization focused on connecting Black professionals with career opportunities and empowering organizations to create inclusive cultures. Through programs such as IGNITE, UNBOUNDED, and now NAVIGATE, BTI is cultivating networks, leadership pathways, and impact-driven conversations that support systemic change.

NAVIGATE is an exclusive ERG Corporate Leaders Summit with limited capacity. Attendance requests are reviewed to ensure alignment with the summit’s focus on advancing ERGs and workplace inclusion.
